13 Assassins

13 Assassins 7.6

In the late Edo period, there was a time when the book of the old palace of the Edo house of the Ming Dynasty (Takeshi Ueno) committed suicide in front of the house of the shogunate, the old Zhongtu well (Hiraya Erlang), which caused a shock between the government and the public. Everything is started by Akashi Lord Qi Zhao (Goro Tsugaki). Qi Zhao is the half-brother of the current general, who is bloodthirsty and abusive, which has aroused the dissatisfaction of many people up and down the court, but Qi Zhao has been decided to be the next Lao Zhong. In order to prevent people from being poisoned by it, Tujing instructed Shimada to assassinate Weimen (served the role of the staff) on the way back to the clan of Qi Zhao. The new Zuo Weimen summoned 13 assassins, including Cangyong Zuoheitai (Matsufang Hiroshi), Sanqiao Junjiro (Yoshimura Yoshimura) and Hirayama Hirayama (Ishihara), and laid an ambush in the place where Qi Zhao must pass. The film was remade from the 1963 Kudo classic of the same name, and the new screenplay was performed by Daisuke, son of famous director Imamura Shohei.
