One day in January 1989, Reverend Don Piper (Hayden Christensen Hayden Christensen) was involved in a serious car accident while driving home. When paramedics arrived, they decided that he had no signs of life. Unexpectedly, an hour and a half later, he miraculously woke up and claimed to have seen the whole picture of heaven during this period of time when he lost consciousness. Under the pious prayers of friends and the careful care of his wife Eva (Kate Potsworth Kate Bosworth), Tang finally recovers and starts a new life. This film is adapted from the 2004 New York Times bestseller of the same name, written by Tang Piper based on his own experience.
