One of the best anti-Japanese war propaganda films made in Hollywood during World War II. Director Howard truly filmed the story of the US Air Force Bmur17 bomber "Marianne" and the related bomber team members. The film's "political consciousness" is very clear, but it does not affect the development of the story. The dialogue written by screenwriter Dudley is concise and powerful, and the arrangement of many scenes reflects his respect for the air force, and the battle action scene is sophisticated and compact.
