A film based on autobiographies written by Watergate whistleblowers Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward. The two are reporters from the Washington Post. In the Watergate incident, they went through a lot of hardships to uncover the political dark curtain, and the characters and events together became a household name in American history. The story begins with five thieves who sneak into Watergate and steal generously. It was originally a minor criminal case, but tracked down by Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman Dustin Hoffman) and Woodward (Robert Redford Robert Redford), it finally tore a big crack at President Nixon. From 1972 to 1974, from Nixon's presidential campaign to Nixon's re-election, the Washington Post was under increasing pressure and even threatened. Editor-in-chief Ben Bradley sided with press freedom and trust in his own journalists, and Bernstein and Woodward were able to continue to pursue the truth, with the help of an important informant, Deep throat, and after unimaginable twists and turns, Watergate eventually led to Nixon.
