This film is adapted from Brian Moore's best-selling novel. Brian writes a legendary story about the early activities of missionaries in France based on Jesuit records, and carefully dramatizes a famous period of history. you can get a glimpse into the history of early North America. The story takes place in 1634 when a young priest crossed the North American wilderness and came to Canada to preach to the local Indians. In the meantime, his entourage fell in love with the Indian chief's daughter. The harsh natural environment and the ancient Indian way of life made him doubt whether his mission was correct.
