Bordertown

Bordertown 6.1

In 1992, the North American Free Trade Agreement was signed and entered into force. Many large companies have flocked to Mexican border towns bordering the United States to set up factories, hiring local cheap labor to produce goods in large quantities and dumping them on the United States. Such factories are called "Maquilaoras", and local women work hard day and night for their meagre pay, often returning home late at night or in the early hours of the morning. In this dangerous and sparsely populated period, many women were raped and killed. During the chaotic and dilapidated Ciudad Juarez, the serial killings of women in Maguiradona attracted widespread attention. In order to get the position of foreign correspondent, American journalist Lauren (Jennifer Lopez Jennifer Lopez) begins to investigate the serial murders in Ciudad Juarez. In the process, she meets the lucky girl Eve (Maya Zapata), and the destinies of the two women are connected in this way. This film is based on real events.
