Bauffinger (Steve Martin Steve Martin) dreams of becoming a filmmaker, but still living in poverty, he is obviously a long way from his dream of high society in Hollywood. However, the pale reality can not dampen Bauffinger's enthusiasm to realize his ideal, he has got a new script and boasts with his friends that he will invite the famous Hollywood action star Kate (Eddie Murphy Eddie Murphy) to be his leading actor. Of course, Kate did not hesitate to reject the olive branch thrown by Bauffinger, because the latter can pay him pitifully little. In helplessness, the persistent Boffinger and his "film crew" began a long secretly filming project. The plan messed up Kate's life and attracted some people as crazy as Bauffinger.
