Lonely young Alex (Denis Lavan Denis Lavant) roams the streets of Paris alone, his girlfriend is in love with someone else and will soon go to military service, and the prospect of his beloved film career is vague. By chance, Alex enters a private party and becomes acquainted with the beautiful girl Mirilla (played by Mireille Perrier). Minuila had a deep affection with her boyfriend Bernard, and she was willing to give everything for love, but the other side could not bear such passionate feelings and had no choice but to escape. The same situation brought them together and told each other their emotional experiences, thus bringing their hearts closer together. Alex and Mirilla snuggled up to each other, and the air was filled with the smell of sadness and hopelessness. This film is the debut directed by Leo Leos Carax and won the Youth Award at the 1984 Cannes Film Festival.
