Charlotte (Cathy Bates Kathy Bates) and Michelle (Michelle Pfeiffer Michelle Pfeiffer) are old friends and best friends. They used to be social flowers under the skirt, but now they are getting old and can only spend time recalling the past in the Chinese house. Charlotte's son Shelley (Rupert Flanders Rupert Friend) is 19 years old. She is so worried about her son's indulgence in alcohol that she hands him over to Michelle. Although one of Xu Niang was half-old and the other was in her prime, the two inevitably fell in love. Michelle became Shelley's mentor and lover. He affectionately called her "Nuo". Michelle was afraid of the hot emotion she had not experienced for many years, because it was a taboo relationship after all.
