In Camag, southern France, a white-bristled horse escapes from the mistreatment of its herder, and the young Falco (Alain Emery) takes it in and becomes a good friend. The shepherd looked everywhere, hoping to catch the runaway white horse. The boy and the white horse are willing to run for freedom. Albert Lamorisse's 1953 work is a masterpiece of poetic fantasy film that appeared in France after the 1950s. This film won the Best short Film Award at the Cannes International Film Festival in 1953 and the Jean Vigo short Film Award in 1953.
