Sheriff Roman and Miklovan received different educations, and although both wanted to stop rampant crime, they acted in very different ways. When they understand each other, they join hands in a life-and-death struggle with criminal gangs. In April 1945, Romania, which had suffered from war, faced the ravages of bandits. Sheriff Roman caught the gangster Pascal and learned that the bandit leader Buchullig had a rendezvous with a girl in the travel management. Roman and his assistant went quickly, Buchullig was killed on the spot, and Sheriff Roman was determined to catch all the gangsters. He and Miklovan caught the gangster Lethrick and forced him to lure the bandit leader Semaka to appear. In the timber warehouse, after a fierce shootout, they captured Semaka alive and wiped out all the prisoners. However, Miklovan also died because of his injuries. With deep regret for his comrade-in-arms and the last bullet he left behind, Roman, with a grim expression, left silently.
