Willie Russell put his popular British stage play "Education Rita", directed by Lewis Gilbert, as the "flower girl" of the 1980s film. Rita, the heroine, is a hairdresser who is tired of daily life. She decides to increase her knowledge of literature. By fate, she became a student of Professor Frank. He was an alcoholic who woke up from his fantasy, and Rita and Rita learned the true meaning of life from each other. The choreographer dealt with the unique interpersonal relationship between the leading actors and actresses in a relaxed and interesting way. Michael Kane and Julie Walters also performed brilliantly, winning the Best Actor and Actor Awards of the British Academy of Film Arts and the Golden Globe Awards.
