"Flower Drum Opera" comes from a novel of the same name by C.Y. Lee (Li Jinyang). It is adapted into a musical by Oscar Hammerstein II and Joseph Fields, composed by Richard Rodgers and composed by Oscar Hammerstein II. The play opened at St. James Theatre in New York on December 1, 1958, performed 600 times on Broadway in New York, and then at the Palace Theatre in London (Palace Theatre) on March 24, 1960. In 1961, it was made into a film by Universal screen, in which Linda was played by the famous Chinese actor Nancy Kwan.
