In a Christian town in Maryland, people live a leisurely and peaceful life. However, an accident disturbed their peace, and a boy named Shane (Shiloh Fernandez) shot himself, and bad luck befell the town one after another. Shortly after Shane's death, his girlfriend Natalie (Rumer Willis) and her father Bernard (Jared Harris) commit suicide one after another. Dylan (Kelly Blatz), the boyfriend of the teenage girl Lindsay (Elizabeth Rice) who witnessed Natalie's suicide, is the son of a priest, who believes that the series of suicides are not accidental, but related to a witch case in town six months ago, who is Shane's mother. It seems that the way to prevent the death virus from spreading is to kill Aidan (Thomas Dekker), another son of the witch.
