The film depicts in detail how a woman who has forgotten her identity vacillates between self-negation and reality. Hannah is an ordinary domestic worker who takes classes in an acting training class in her spare time. She has a dog at home. Her life seems simple and peaceful. No one knows that she is actually living a broken life: her husband is in prison, her son refuses to recognize her, strangers keep bothering her. Hannah bears the consequences alone, she constantly refuses to accept the truth, and real life is more and more falling apart. One day at work, Hannah happened to hear that there was a stranded whale on the beach. She asked for leave to leave work early and came to the seaside alone to watch the lonely whale for a long time. Through Hannah's exploration of self-broken identity and the loss of self-control, this film discusses the dilemma of alienation and emotional connection, as well as the dividing line among personal identity, interpersonal relationship and social pressure.
