Located in the Kaman Islands in the West Indies, the shadow of coconut trees, clear water and sand, and the neighboring city of Miami is no more than an hour away by plane. The island has more than 40,000 residents, nearly half of whom are immigrants and businessmen from all over the world. Amidst the colorful crowd, Miami bankrupt businessman Redley (Bill Paxton) may have thought of the best way to hide. So he fled to a tropical island 500 kilometers away with his daughter Pippa and millions of dollars before the federal government officially came to recover the huge taxes he owed. The first thing Redley did on the island was to ask about the bank that could help him wash away 1 million black money, but he did not notice that his daughter was fascinated by the local gangster Victor Rasuk when she first arrived, let alone that the big creditor behind Fritz-the gangster leader on the island (Stephen Dylan)-also targeted him. Fritz's good friend, the British fisherman Charles (Orlando Bloom), fell in love with the local rich daughter Andrea (Zusar Donna). Under the great class pressure, the two finally broke out their inner passion but was broken by Andrea and his brother. In order to punish the poor immigrants for tarnishing the family reputation, Andrea and her brothers treated the Shire hard.
