The ace journalist Hildy Johnson (Rosalind Russell Rosalind Russell), who has disappeared for months, comes to the office desk of his boss Walter Burns (Gary Grant Cary Grant) and plans to resign to get married. Walter certainly didn't want that to happen, and more importantly, they used to be a couple who lived together.
