Kiichi Nakajima, an old but energetic factory owner (played by Mifune Toshiro), bought a piece of land to build a basement to guard against nuclear radiation after hearing about the hydrogen bomb test in the United States. Later, he heard that the Soviet Union was also conducting hydrogen bomb experiments, and radioactive dust could be blown to Japan from the north, so he abandoned the plan to build a basement and planned to move his family to Brazil. People around him thought he was alarmist and made a fuss. His family strongly opposed his plan and asked the court to forbid him from dealing with the family property on the grounds of insanity. In order to cut off his family's back, Kiichi Nakajima set fire to his factory, but did not expect that this move led to the unemployment of workers. Kiichi Nakajima finally went crazy and was admitted to a mental hospital.
