An outspoken American journalist (Jim Karwiese) was kidnapped by the Iranian regime while attending a conference in Cairo, Egypt. He was then taken to the Middle East and tried on false charges. His wife, a State Department official, tried to use her influence to get the U. S. government to step in and get her husband back. But she soon realized that the US government would not intervene. So she was forced to go to the Middle East alone to find him.
