If "thinking back then" is Fellini's memories of his boyhood, "eight and a half" is a record of his middle-aged creative crisis, and "Rome" is a tribute to his beloved city, then this film is his eulogy to Cinecitta studios. The film combines memories, ridicule, introspection, fantasy and other elements together, let us see a variety of characters before and after the camera. The best part of the film is that the replay of "Sweet Life" brings the protagonists back together, with a bit of the flavor of the master in charge of "the same song" on CCTV. 40th Cannes Film Festival (1987) 40th Anniversary Award Federico Fellini 13th Caesar Award (1988) Caesar Award-Best Foreign Film (nominated) Federico Fellini
