Once upon a time, giants in the cloud relied on heavenly pods to reach the earth. They wantonly wantonly, devouring humans, causing endless harm. Thanks to the brave and astute King Eric who drove the giant back to his hometown, the legend of the giant became more and more popular. Jack (Nicholas Hoult), a young man from a poor family who has been deeply attracted by the story of giants since childhood, enters the city to buy horses. He accidentally encounters a monk who is being chased by the Royal Guard. In his panic, he even exchanges his horse for the pod in the other person's hand. As night falls and a heavy rain suddenly hits, Princess Isabel (Eleanor Tomlinson), who is unwilling to give her life's happiness to others, takes advantage of the chaos and runs away and turns to Jack's house to take shelter from the rain. Just as they were chatting, the rain-soaked pod suddenly sprouted, and the bean stems grew wildly and reached the sky, bringing the princess trapped in the house into the clouds. In order to retrieve the princess, Jack volunteered to join the rescue team formed by the king, but what awaited them was the familiar legendary giant...
