Finland is the closest European country to Japan. It takes only ten hours by plane. Hsing Hui (Kobayashi Congmei) runs a Japanese restaurant called Seagull Canteen in the picturesque capital Helsinki. She hopes to keep guests' hearts with simple but warm traditional hand scrolls. Unfortunately, the restaurant is often empty. Later, Green (Pian Tong) and Zhengzi (Zuozhen Suozi), for different reasons, came there to help. In addition, the young handsome customers of Japanese culture fans, who had only stopped to wait and see, were later attracted by the smell of cinnamon rolls, and the middle-aged men who had worked there and could not forget the original coffee machine, a middle-aged woman who seriously asked how to plant a scarecrow to curse her husband. These interesting and real people form a touch of friendship around the seagull canteen.
