This film tells five stories that take place in Sicily in the 19th century: another child: a mother is always waiting for letters from her two sons far away, but turns a blind eye to the other son around her, because that is the child she gave birth to after being robbed and raped. Moon syndrome: a man falls madly in love with the moon. Whenever the full moon rises, he falls into a state of ecstasy and even yells at the moon when he is excited. His strange behavior frightened his wife. Jar: the rich farmer hired a skilled craftsman to repair his jar, but the craftsman accidentally fell into it. Requiem: the villagers unite to ask the landlords to bury their bodies. Dialogue with his mother: writer Luigi Pirandello tells his mother a story that he has been thinking about for a long time but has been unable to write.
