The two male protagonists of the story suffer from injustice and mental suffering respectively. One is unjustly imprisoned, and the other is suffering from physical illness for a long time. What haunts them is the shadow of reality that cannot be dispelled. In the end, they had to fight a duel to end the history that had plagued them for many years. When the tide rises and falls, the sea will eventually wash away all the past.
