The story takes place in 1941, when the German army swept through Europe. It begins with the singing of two poor teenagers who are about to go to Belgrade and the story begins with the bus they took. All kinds of people get on this car, veterans, two rich people, newlyweds, drivers, father and son. Various accidents lead to a variety of stories, narratives and activities: being stopped by a soldier at one intersection; a flat tire punctured by a farmer who collected money to buy a road on another road; while resting by the lake, he ran into a marching national team, the car was requisitioned, and the driver's son was forced to join the army when he came back. The veterans dropped their wallets on the road, but the passengers suspected two poor teenagers and punched and kicked them. Finally, under the bombing of German planes, the car burned and toppled, but the two filthy teenagers still climbed out of the window and continued to sing. The trip to Belgrade came to a difficult end.
