Female artist Leo (Marisa Paredes) has written romance novels under the pseudonym of Amanda for more than 20 years, but recently her creation has encountered a bottleneck. Her husband, who works in the army, has been abroad for a long time, making Leo unable to concentrate on writing because of marital stress, and even a pair of boots can bother her. Under the introduction of her good friend Betty, Leo meets with the editor Angel (Juan Echanove). Although Leo refuses the other side's job, Angel's sharpness still impresses her. At the same time, the publisher was quite dissatisfied with Leo's recent situation and asked her to get back on track or disclose her secret true identity. The husband finally came home but hurried away, saying that the marriage had broken down. The heartbroken Leo took medicine and committed suicide. Fortunately, he was pulled back to the world by a phone call from his mother. Angel came into Leo's life when he was helpless and said he could share Amanda's secrets with him. Good friend Betty admitted her affair with her husband. Leo had no intention of going back to the countryside with his mother to rest, and finally got out of the haze under the touch of the people around him. This film won many professional awards such as Best Actress at the Karlovy Foley International Film Festival in 1996.
