At a scrap iron recycling plant in the Czech Republic after "Victory February", a labor group composed of chef Pavel (V á Clav Neck á r), who is unwilling to work on Sundays because of religious beliefs, and prosecutors, philosophy professors, dairy farmers, etc., is on strike. The former workers, now their leader, were ordered to lead a crew to shoot promotional films here, and the director left in a huff when he learned of the strike. But this shoot brings Pavel together with the hands of Kita (Jitka Zelenohorsk á), a beautiful female prisoner in the nearby reform-through-labor camp. The trade association sent someone to persuade the strike, but it was countered by the dairy farmer, who was nowhere to be found. At the same time, the bailiff in charge of the female prisoners got married, while the workers could only spy on the female prisoners on the topic of philosophy and art. Soon the Young Pioneers visited, and the professor questioned the counselor who led the team. As a result, he also disappeared. Kita finally agreed to Pavel's proposal, and the two had an absent wedding. Finally, the leader visited the area, and Pavel asked him the same question as the professor. After being banned for 21 years, the film won the 1990 Berlin Golden Bear Award and the International Film critic Phoebe Award.
