Celia (Patricia Clarkson) feels that her life is at a crossroads. She and her husband have successfully joined the ranks of wealthy Americans, with a villa on Lake Tahoe, California, and a pair of sons who have grown up. On this Labor Day weekend, the eldest son Theo (Zachary Booth) decides to take his boyfriend to the villa for a holiday, while the second son Roger (Joseph Cross) comes home with a secret. Celia, surrounded by friends and relatives, always felt that something was missing in life until an accident by the quiet lake woke her up. What she needs is to move forward.
