The story takes place in 1933, when the British pilot Bill lost his way during a flight and crashed into the Sahara Desert. His lover Mary (Marion Cotillard Marion Cotillard) did not believe that Bill was dead, so he firmly embarked on the journey to find him. On the way, Mary is forced to land in the French camel cavalry post station, where she meets Captain Vincent (Guillaume Marquet). Mary asks Vincent for help, but because Algiers is in a period of unrest, the command headquarters refuses Mary's request to fly. Since she can't rely on a plane to find Bill, Mary decides to travel by land. she joins the cavalry company on duty and encounters Lieutenant Anthony (Guyome Canet Guillaume Canet).
