In this eschatological thriller directed by award-winning writer and director Sam Esmel (the Legion of hackers), Amanda (Oscar winner Julia Roberts) and her husband Clay (Oscar-nominated Ethan Hawk) rent a luxury home to spend the weekend with their children Archie (Charlie Evans) and Rose (Farah Mackenzie). Their vacation was soon subverted by two strangers-G.H. (Academy Award winner Mahsala Ali) and his daughter Ruth (Mikhara), who learned of a mysterious cyber attack and sought refuge in the house that claimed to belong to them. Both families face an imminent disaster, which is becoming more and more terrible, forcing everyone to try to find their place in this collapsing world. The breaking news, adapted from the novel nominated for the National Book Award by Ruman Aram, is produced by Esmail Corp and Red Om Films and supervised by Higher Ground Productions.
