In 1945, Guilbert, a French doctor who had just been released by the allies, was arrested by the Nazis in Royan. They took him to a submarine intended for South America. There is a Gestapo leader, a German general, an Italian businessman and his wife, several fugitives, including a pro-German French journalist (Couturier). So the intertwined conflict of interests took place on this fugitive submarine.
