Everyone has more or less secrets that they don't want to tell others or the past they want to get rid of, and Trish (Kate Blanchett Cate Blanchett) is no exception. Once, she lived such an absurd life and did a lot of bad things that were hard to tell. Now, with a conscience, she is determined to turn over a new leaf and return to the normal life. Trish's "whitening" plan goes smoothly with the help of her mother, Jeannie (Noni Hazehs Noni Hazlehurst), but the successive appearances of her brother Ray (Martin Henderson Martin Henderson), boyfriend Johnny (Dustin Nguyen Dustin Nguyen) and good friend Leon (Hugo Wiven Hugo Weaving) seem to indicate that Trish will not be able to get rid of her dark past. Trish's confidence has been gradually destroyed by these uninvited guests, and the difficult relationship between Trish and her mother is facing a huge test.
