During the Qingming Festival, the drizzle is oblique weaving, and the broken bridge in the West Lake is a sad mood. Xu Xian (Ikebu Liang), a scholar returning from a grave-sweeping boat, encounters a rich lady named Bai Niang (Shuzi Yamaguchi / Li Xianglan) and her maidservant Xiaoqing (8,000 grass incense). Talent and beauty, coupled with previous marriages, the two are attracted to each other. Xu Xian suffers from poverty and is unable to marry the White Lady. The White Lady did not dislike it and paid for her own money for the wedding. However, the money was stolen from the government, and Xu Xian was brutally tortured and exiled to Suzhou. The White Lady, who was attached to Xu Xian, soon followed, and her marriage, which had been entangled for a hundred years, was constantly cut, and her management was still messy. This film is based on the Chinese folklore the Legend of the White Snake and Lin Fangxiong's White Lady, which is co-produced by Shaw Brothers and Dongbao.
