Vitttorio de Sica (Vittorio De Sica), the heir to a large sum of money and the owner of a newspaper vending stall, has made enough money from his business to spend his holiday in a fashionable resort. He was an old friend, and a nobleman gave him a cruise ticket. When he used a camera with a friend's name on it, he was mistaken for an aristocrat. Assia Noris plays a maid and falls in love with him because of who he is rather than who others think he is. When De Sica married Noris, a happy ending came. The authenticity of Noris is more real than the spoiled social ethos he lives with. In the United States, it is displayed with Italian dialogue and no English title.
