This film marks the emergence of the masterpiece of director Lucio Fulci. Several boys were killed in a rural town in southern Italy, crazy gypsy women and perverted young women are suspicious, and the number of suspects is growing until the whole town faces self-destruction, all as a result of misguided religion and superstition. The horrific violence in the film is imaginably cruel when several male villagers in the village hold a gypsy woman responsible for their children and decide to bring her to justice.
