When a lover is in crisis, love can bully a weak woman and become strong. In order to prove the innocence of her lover, Carol, a temporary detective, walked into the night of New York in search of a mysterious woman who could provide circumstantial evidence. In a long shot of the film, he follows an uncooperative witness until the latter dies in front of him. The scene in which the female detective seduced the jazz drummer with body language became a classic restricted scene in the 1940s.
