The retired Hollywood star exiled by the United States hired a cheap British novel writer to be the knife catcher of his autobiography, but this seemingly easy job gradually turned into a nightmare. because the declining aristocrats and mysterious mistresses around the out-of-date star were either killed or wanted to kill the writer, he had to play the detective in his book to find out the truth of the incident. The British detective film directed by Mike Hodgis has a tense and suspense atmosphere on the one hand and a satire on the inside of Hollywood Studios on the other. Although the results of the whole film are not very balanced, the performances of the two protagonists, Michael Ken and Miguel Rona, are quite wonderful, making it a good entertainment.
