Sweet Country

Sweet Country 6.9

"Sweet Nation" took place in the inland area of Alice Springs, Australia's Northern Territory in 1929. The master of Sam, a veteran aboriginal herder, is Harry, a white veteran who retired from World War I. Harry was violent, abused workers and was eventually shot and killed by Sam in self-defense. Since then, Sam and his pregnant wife have embarked on a flight, traveling inland and across the magnificent desert, using jungle survival skills to skillfully avoid law enforcement officers who follow them. But Sam finally turned himself in for trial for the sake of his wife's health. In a white supremacy society, can the so-called trial show justice?
