In 1954, during the last days of the French army in Southeast Asia, a team of 41 Laotians and four French retreated from the front and experienced multiple attacks such as ambush, disease and fatigue. When the remaining soldiers finally returned to the camp, the camp was occupied by the enemy and all members of the team were killed. Filmed on the spot in the jungles of Cambodia, the film vividly reflects the extreme cruelty of the war. (Douban movie subtitle translation 2.0 group)
