The Beat That My Heart Skipped

The Beat That My Heart Skipped 7.3

Tom (Roman Duris Romain Duris) inherited his father's underground real estate career. In order to drive out nail households, he came up with all kinds of abnormal ideas: rat infestation, water and electricity disruption, house equipment smashing with a bat, and injuring irrelevant people. At the same time, he also needs to come forward to help his father deal with all kinds of trouble. When he played these rogue tricks, there was no pity in his heart. One night, Tom suddenly realized that there was another direction in life. He ran into the agent of the dead pianist's mother, which reminded him of the beautiful time when he practiced the piano as a child, which was ruined by reality. Tom thought of his elegant mother and tried to pick up the rhythm he had forgotten. He met a Chinese girl who taught piano, and even though they didn't understand each other's language, he learned the piano from her. Music makes the communication between them more and more smooth. Tom's indulgence in piano practice delayed his job in real estate, and his father and friends became more and more dissatisfied with him. Can Tom make his own choice whether to follow the rhythm of his heart or to live forever in the dark by his father's shackles? This film won the best score at the 2005 Berlin Film Festival.
