GP is a sentry at the forefront of the unarmed zone on the edge of the truce line and a remnant of the post-Cold War era. On a rainy night in May 2007, all 20 members of GP506 were killed by a soldier. As the captain of 506 was the son of the Chief of General staff, the military was so nervous about it that it sent a search officer Lu (played by Qian Haozhen) to investigate the truth of the incident in one night. The search team entered the 506 garrison sentry camp that night. in addition to the surviving suspect soldier Jiang Chunyuan (Li Yingxun), one of the 20 bodies was missing. The search team found a survivor claiming to be 506 captain Lieutenant Liu (Zhao Xianzai). The latter was in shock and refused to disclose any incident, but the heavy rain blocked the road and Lieutenant Liu, who could not leave the sentry camp, had to describe the virus infection of the 506 sentry members. It turned out that some members of the team had an inexplicable infectious disease that became very aggressive after suffering from infection, and the captain refused to report it in order to keep his official career, which led to mutiny and eventual slaughter of his subordinates.
