Esmeralda (Marlene O'Hara Maureen O'Hara) is a kind and charming gypsy girl, and Father Claude (Thomas Mitchell Thomas Mitchell) of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is fascinated by her. Quasimodo (Charles Lawton Charles Laughton) is the bell ringer of the church. he is born with an ugly appearance, and no one wants to take a look at him. The priest instructs Quasimodo to kidnap Esmeralda to Notre Dame, but the plan is disturbed by Captain Phoebe (Alan Marshall Alan Marshal).
