During World War II, the Allies were troubled by the inability to decipher Germany's secret system "Ingmar". The government convened a group of folk mathematicians and logicians to carry out secret decoding work. Turing (Benedict Cumberbatch) was one of them. At the beginning of the plan, Turing was ostracized by his team members and leaders led by Matthew Goode. Fortunately, Minister of Military Intelligence Menzies (Mark Strong) helped him establish a project to research code-breaking machines. Turing became the person in charge and recruited a new member, Joan (Keira Knightley), to start the difficult work. Joan soon became fascinated by Turing, and thanks to her help all the team members united unprecedentedly, and two years later successfully cracked the German code. Turing was once engaged to Joan, but in fact he hid a secret because of this secret he also suffered inhuman treatment... This film is adapted from "The Biography of Alan Turing" written by Andrew Hodges. Won the 87th Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
