1944, on the eve of the defeat of the Nazis in Germany. In order to protect the artistic treasures shared by mankind from malicious destruction, President Roosevelt directed the establishment of an Allied treasure hunting team, led by Professor Frank Stock (George Clooney), which included James Granger (Matt Damon), Richard Campbell (Bill Murray), Walter Garfield (John Goodman) and other elite talents in the art field scattered from all walks of life.
