Unidentified vagrants come to pastures on the Icelandic plateau. A rich female farmer who had lost her husband took in the tramp and asked him to work as a hired worker. Soon, the female farmer fell in love with the man and promoted him to the position of manager. The fat village head once proposed to the female farmer and was turned down. Now seeing this situation, he is extremely jealous. He secretly investigated the identity of the tramp, who turned out to be a fugitive sentenced elsewhere. The female farmer gave up all her possessions, and the homeless fled to the mountains and forests to live by fountains and waterfalls in order to avoid capture. A few years later, they gave birth to a boy. The shepherd found them, and the village chief brought people to hunt them down. Female farmers and vagrants threw their children off a cliff into the rapids and fled into the depths of the mountains. As the years went by, two lovers grew old. In the depths of winter, in the cabin in the mountains, they looked back on the past, felt a nameless fear, and finally died in the terrible blizzard.
