Toby is a little boy. After his mother died, his father was too busy to take care of him, so he had to be sent back to his grandmother's house to stay temporarily. Toby's grandmother is a seemingly serious old lady who is busy with her social life all day. Lonely little Toby found a magic attic in the old house and found many shabby toys in it. Unexpectedly, he found a velvet rabbit left to him by his mother. Toby finally found a playmate and loved the rabbit wholeheartedly. He pinned his thoughts on the rabbit wherever he went. Toby played with rabbits, swans and ponies in his imaginary world until Toby was infected with scarlet fever and was ill in bed. The doctor said that all his toys would be burned and the rabbit would be burned. But love made the world real, and because of the little boy's love for it, it turned into a real rabbit, making the well-known fairy tale come true.
