The story takes place in 18th-century Russia, where monk Ravi (Mike Prychkov Mikhail Porechenkov) is exiled by the Queen to a dilapidated monastery in a remote mountain area, surrounded by terrible legends of countless strange and chaotic gods. Years passed in the blink of an eye, and because Ravi had been missing for too long, the Queen decided to recall him. The Queen sends a young man named Andrew (Konstantin Krukov) to the mountains to look for Ravi. Although he knows a thing or two about the legends there, Andrew does not take these terrible stories seriously, but Andrew's servants are very frightened of their journey and think it must be bad luck. At last, they arrived at their destination, only to find that bunkers had been set up there, as if to resist the invasion of something.
