Markle's father Ernst (Ernst Stoz Ernst St ö tzner) and mother Jeter (Corinne Haverch Corinna Harfouch) live in a small city in southern Germany. Once upon a time, Ernst was a famous publisher who published many popular masterpieces. Now that he has retired, he still has not abandoned his career and is still buried in scrolls all day long. Kit suffers from depression and has been controlled by drugs. Ernst is about to travel to the Middle East for research, which means that kit will be left unattended. Fortunately, the two also have a son, Jacob (Sebastian Zimmer Sebastian Zimmler), who takes on the responsibility of taking care of his mother. Jacob is a dentist and has a lot of problems beneath the glossy surface. One day, when the family was getting together on holiday, Jeter suddenly disappeared.
