The most famous structured film is Canadian director Michael Snow's Wavelength (1967), which demonstrates a rich mix of skills. The film begins with a camera fixed to a distant window depicting the attic of an apartment. People come in and go out, and then it seems like a dead person appears, but the camera is completely indifferent, still focusing on recording the subtle changes in the light in the apartment. At the same time, the film also shows off a technique: an abrupt and sudden telescopic lens that intermittently zooms in on the dark walls of the room reveals a photo of ocean waves (so the film is indeed tracing a "wavelength").
