This film is Ruowei Fumiko's classic masterpiece, with the survival situation of post-war women as the topic, the whole film takes delicate realism as its style, reflects a wide range of life, and shows the skills of director Yuzo Kawashima in a calm narration. A short period of 100 minutes reveals many problems at the social level. In this film's insipid and realistic plot arrangement, near the end of the dispute between the wife of the well and the hostess Xiaoyuan can be regarded as the most exciting part of the film. The similar plot of the wife demanding back the property donated by her husband from her lover can be seen in Chekhov's novels. The heroine played by Ruo Wei Wenzi is independent and strong, and although she has been teased by life repeatedly, she is strong and optimistic. At the end, the heroine gives away the women's watch given by Takai, and while waiting for the car to look at the time, she habitually looks at the wrist without the watch in her left arm, followed by a faint smile, which shows her delicate and vivid acting skills.
